Shipping Containers and Storage Containers for Sale
Container Technology has new and used shipping containers and storage containers for sale throughout the United States. We provide shipping containers and storage containers for individual as well as business-to-business applications.
The most common size shipping containers and storage containers available are 20ft long x 8ft wide and 40ft long x 8ft wide. We also have the larger 53ft long x 8ft 6in wide containers available. The 20ft and 40ft containers were utilized for international shipping. The 53ft containers are utilized for domestic over-the-road and rail service.
We sell our shipping containers and storage containers in wind & watertight condition. The used containers we have available are utilized for international shipping. They usually remain in shipping service for approximately 10-12 years. We provide them in the aftermarket for domestic, on-site storage purposes
New shipping containers and storage containers are often referred to as “one-trip”, “one-way” or “one-use” containers. They are referenced as such because they are only loaded with cargo “one-time”. They are manufactured overseas, loaded with cargo once, and shipped to the US. They are not utilized for international shipping.
Most shipping containers and storage containers are constructed of steel and have wood floors. They are comprised of 14-gauge corrugated steel panels throughout. They typically have lockable double doors at one end. The floors are 1-1/8″ thick marine plywood.

SCF Storage & Shipping Containers Shipping containers were originally designed to transport goods across the open ocean on ships. They are lightweight, strong, weatherproof and stackable. They quickly became very popular for furniture removalists, who could transport furniture safely between two locations on the back of a truck. And now they are commonly used for onsite storage, in commercial, industrial and residential settings. A range of size variants have been introduced over time, to include smaller 8ft & 10ft mini containers, 20ft high cube containers (which were 1ft higher than a standard 20ft shipping container), larger 40ft high cubes, 20ft side opening containers to enable easier access and the traditional 20ft shipping containers and 40ft shipping containers.
